This page describes how to get Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 to permanently accept self signed certificates. It is based on information from Leon Meijer. (Thanks!)
For an explanation of why you would want to do this (including when you should not do it) and instructions for other browsers, please see the main Self Signed Certificates page.
Steps for IE7:
Visit the site in question with Internet Explorer. You will get a warning message:
Click on Continue to this website (not recommended)
Click on Certificate Error in the red colored address bar:
Click on View certificates
In the Certificate dialog, press Install Certificate
In the Certificate Import Wizard, click Next
On page 2 of the wizard, select Place all certificates in the following store and click Browse:
In the Select Certificate Store dialog, select Trusted Root Certification Authorities, click OK.
In the wizard, click Next, then click Finish.
If a security message pops up, choose Yes
